In Search of the Light Brigade

was my effort to improve and expand upon Honour the Light Brigade.

It is based on over five years of painstaking research, extracting and cross referencing every fact in approximately 4000 pages of photocopied primary source documents and 100 books on the Crimean War.

It contains biographical information on over 5,000 men who served in the five original regiments of the Light Brigade during the Crimean War.

It includes over forty transcribed accounts of the Charge by those who rode in it, as well as a comprehensive casualty list.

The book is probably the most thoroughly footnoted historical reference work in print, providing many references to print sources to assist in factual verification.
