Since its publication in 1973, Canon William Murrell Lummis and Kenneth G. Wynn's Honour the Light Brigade has been informally recognized by Light Brigade experts around the world as the most complete reference work on the men of the Light Brigade in print.
Unfortunately, the work is riddled with errors, does not provide source references, does not include information about 3000 of the men who served, and is organized in such a way as to make research inquiries extremely difficult. Despite these failings, the book is still an absolute must for the library for anyone interested in the men of the Light Brigade that served in the Crimean War.
It lists biographies of more than 2000 men who served in the war.
